This is a fair week for the food bank with the Publix Sale 1/30-2/5. The deals that we are focusing on are mostly the continuing deals from last week with Wolf Chili and free Mahatma Rice. We have spent over $1,600 of our second $2,000 Clip Hunger Challenge for the North Gwinnett Co-op and we are maintaining savings rates of over 81%. We are hoping to complete the challenge this month.
Here are the top targets for the food bank for this week’s Listelope:
At Publix through 2/5/14 (Weekly Sale Items)
Kellogg’s Cinnamon Jacks Cereal, BOGO $4.29 on shelf, $1.15 with coupon
- MC $.50/1 Kellogg’s Cinnamon Jacks Cereal, Printable
We normally buy cereal for the Co-op when it costs $1 or less. However, the Co-op is low on cereal, so we are broadening our spending targets.
Mahatma Rice 1 pound short grain rice, $1 on shelf, free after coupon
- MC $.50/1 Mahatma Rice, RP 1/26
With this great deal, some stores are running low on this product. However, the long grain variety is $1.29 a bag, so with a $.50 coupon that doubles, $.29 for a bag of rice makes a great deal too.
Barilla Pasta BOGO $1.49, 1 for $.42 after coupon when you buy 3
- MC $1/3 Barilla Veggie or Whole Wheat Pasta, SS 1/5/14
This is a good price for pasta which is a critical food bank item.
Wolf Chili, 3 for $4 on shelf, $.53 per can after coupon
- MC $.40/1 Wolf Chili, SS1/20/14
Chili is a great product for the food banks. It is warm and filling, perfect for this time of year.
Remember that if you need extra coupons, clipping services have them available for a nominal fee. Klip2Save still has the Mahatma Rice coupons available. These coupons do not expire until 4/30/14, so please order some extra coupons and help restock the food bank shelves with rice.
