This week’s Publix Sale 8/13-8/19 is good for cereal, but it is a bit of a complicated offer. With our oldest son heading off to college next week, we won’t have much time to shop, so hopefully you can help get these items for the North Gwinnett Co-op too!
Here are the items we are buying this week for the North Gwinnett Co-op:
Publix Sale 8/13-8/19, weekly savings
Kellogg’s Corn Pops Cereal, $1.80 on shelf after BOGO, $.80 after coupon
- MC $.50/1 Kellogg’s Corn Pops, printable
This is a great price for cereal, so if everyone can get their two prints of this coupon, we can help the Co-op stock up!
General Mills Cereals, Trix, Cocoa Puffs, Kix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch $2.00 on shelf, varies after coupons
- MC $1/1 Cocoa Puffs, printable
- MC $.75/1 Cocoa Puffs, printable
- MC $.75/1 Big G Cereals, printable
This is where it gets complicated. You need to spend $20 on selected General Mills products to save $5 at the register automatically. Before you shop, visit Snack, Share, Save at Publix to save an additional $5 by sharing the offer with a friend. Since the cereal is not a BOGO item, your store should allow you to buy 10 of the cereals which will get you to the $20 spend threshold. If you are able to use a few of the coupons plus get the two $5 savings, you will pay less than $1 a box for cereal!
Ronzoni Pasta, $.80 on shelf after BOGO
There aren’t any manufacturer coupons in the market right now, but BOGO pasta is never a bad idea for the Co-op.
Publix is also running a gas card deal, where if you buy $50 worth of groceries, you can save $10 off a $50 gas card. Just look for the coupon in the Publix sale flyer. We are always buying gas anyway, so why not save $10? Just make sure to use the card on your next fill-up(s).
Klip2Save coupon clipping service has lots of great coupons available, but this week we are focused on the printable coupons!
If the $5/$20 is a manufacturer digital coupon will it be accepted if you use other MC for individual items?
It will definitely still work if you use physical coupons – we did it yesterday, and we still got the automatic $5 promotion. We did not even use the digital $5/$20 – the $5 just came off automatically. We had vintage no expiration date $.50/1 Kix, Cocoa Puffs, etc coupons, so it made the cereal incredibly cheap!
Oh good! So you got the $5 off automatic deduction but not the extra $5/$20 that could be attached to your Skip the Clip account this week? I was hoping to get $10/$20 and use some manufacturer paper coupons for the items as well.
You should be able to do both. We tried using the extra $5 share coupon in our Skip the Clip account today, but it did not come up at checkout. The customer service manager said they have been having some problems with digital coupons lately, so they just gave us the extra $5 discount. We had used the manufacturer coupons as well. So if you don’t get the extra digital discount, just take the ad over to customer service, and they should give you the correct discount.
