Do you buy Kashi products? If so, you might be eligible for payment from a Kashi class action lawsuit settlement.
The Kashi class action suit claimed that Kashi mislabled foods as “All Natural” when they actually contained GMO ingredients. The settlement resolves the allegations of false advertising and provides payment for consumers who purchased certain Kashi products between May 3, 2008 and September 4, 2015.
The settlement terms provide two options for consumers.
1. If you don’t have receipts showing your purchases, there is a limit of $27.50 per household. You have to check each product that you purchased, and then you receive $.55 per item for up to 50 items.
2. If you do have receipts showing your purchases of Kashi products, you can submit them for reimbursement. Kashi has agreed to reimburse consumers for the full value of the product they purchased, but the actual payment may vary depending on the number of claims submitted.
So if you bought any Kashi products during the 7 year period covered in the settlement, click HERE to see the list of eligible products. Then, if you see that you purchased any of the products listed, click here to FILE A CLAIM.
Claims have to be submitted by January 19, 2016 so you have plenty of time to go through your old receipts. Of course, most of us don’t have receipts dating back to 2008, but if you really love Kashi products, it would be easy to have spent more than the $27.50 “no receipts” limit on Kashi even in the past few months. We have seen quite a few good sale + coupon match ups for Kashi products, so you probably have bought at least a few packages too!
