This hot new CoverGirl coupon is $6 off any two CoverGirl products. It isn’t as rich as the BOGO coupon, but at least it will scan at the store. Print both of the coupons now before they disappear!
This $6/2 coupon should scan on any CoverGirl products. When you scan the coupon on QSeer, you’ll find that you can use the coupon on three different manufacturer codes. Interestingly, just like the BOGO coupon, the $6/2 coupon does not contain a tracking code.
For people who are wondering about family codes, this coupon is a great example. In the first line of the QSeer output, you can see that Covergirl used a broad family code “any Covergirl product” for manufacturer code 22700. So if a product has 22700 in the first few digits of the UPC, the coupon would only scan if it was a CoverGirl product.
The other two manufacturer numbers do not use a family code, so the coupon would scan for any items with 46200 or 08100 as the first few digits in the product UPC. You can click on the little blue “i” next to those two lines on QSeer to get more info. We’ve only seen these manufacturer codes used for CoverGirl, but it is still a good example.
As Coty has recently purchased CoverGirl and Clairol, they are in a rapid transition phase. To prevent coupon errors, we encourage Coty (and all coupon issuers) to use CHEQR which is a coupon barcode verification app. CHEQR includes multiple reporting tools within the app to allow manufacturers full visibility into how their coupon barcodes are encoded. CHEQR Pro includes all the aspects of CHEQR but also includes a user friendly wizard for creating accurate barcodes every time. We can schedule a personalized demonstration of the app anytime.
